Has anyone else noticed March is crazy slow. Jan and Feb where amazing months for us but then March hit and we are down 90% from the 2 months before. We have never had a month like this in the last 2 years. I’m just wondering if it’s an isolated incident or are other people experiencing it as well. Right now we could probably turn over heat treating in a week. Don't get me wrong some times a break is nice but it was just weird, it was like March hit and a light switch was turned off. Maybe it’s a good time to do that hatchet batch.

Weird ... I have several blades I need to profile and get out to you ... will try to hurry :-)

probably end of the winter blues, and people are hibernating, combined with coronavirus fatigue...

I know personally I just had to resupply materials. I also try to batch my stainless so that I only send one shipment. Should have a significant amount of blades heading your way in a month or so!

Man, I wish I hadn't sent my blades to you know who! They've been down there forever! Next ones are going to you!(if you'll still have me that is , sometimes I feel like I'm a PITA customer...)

I have fallen way behind on cutting out blanks and prepping to send out, may have to take a look at what you have on hand and order.

So it looks like part of the issue was on my end. We set up a new email and we have had issues getting into it. I was able to get into it last night and yep a months worth of questions (facepalm).

My knife business is different from most here, but it never seems to slow down. The first quarter is usually the worst. This year is no exception.
Having just undergone hernia surgery has put me even further behind. Not accepting any more work until May.

I find that for any sales in general, Jan, Feb, March, April May

are slower than the last half of the year.

People are over extended from Christmas, New Years, Valentines day, slowing down, staying in, paying off the credit card

Things pick up when the nice weather starts, outdoor stuff happens,
hunting fishing picks up in the summer and looks forward to the fall / winter / christmas shopping again.

how are you doing, how are you healing up?

Just a little sore. Nothing like the conventional surgery on the other side 30 years ago.
Just now seeming to get all the anesthesia and pain pills out of my system. Hope to get back in the shop in a day or two.

I'm sure its a combination of things. Weather being nicer, people catching up on bills, spring vacations, etc.

I myself am in the middle of moving. Shop is out of commission for at least another month until my move is complete. At that point I'll have a handful coming your way.

I’ve noticed a slowdown lately as well, but then again, it always seems to lean towards feast or famine for me to some extent. Haha I’m sure the rising costs of nearly everything isn’t helping matters, and it’s only going to climb from here.

I am going to be sending around 30 blades to you next week sometime hopefully! S35VN, Elmax, AEB-L, 5160, 440C, D2!
