was at G6 this weekend

talked to the nice people from spyderco and they confirmed that the slysz bowie will be out within the next few weeks

apparently they are at QC waiting to go out to dealers!

yay!

That's great news. Seems to be sooner than anticipated. I can't find the MSRP listed anywhere!

That is very exciting indeed. I never really liked titanium scales until I bought the Brad Southard Flipper...then the Domino. I now "get" what the big deal is.

Yes!!! I think I'll prefer the bowie over the K2. Stoked for all the new goodies soon to be dropping!!

Anybody have a SKU for this? My dealer (who is usually very quick) hadn't heard of any imminent release..

An absolutely must have from this year Amsterdam meet. I know this one is going to have people questioning the MSRP, but once you hold the thing there will be no question. Austere and classy, so excited for this one!

I'm going to have a hard time waiting for things to cool down and price shop, must be strong!

I think the Slysz Bowie and the Mehr K2 look incredibly similar, at least, based on the prototype pics I'm seeing on the web.

Don't you think?

If I had to pick only one, I think I'd go with the Mehr K2.

The designs are pretty similar, but the Mehr K2 is much larger, with a 4.5 inch blade. I haven't seen official dimensions for the Slysz Bowie, but it will be 3.2-3.5 inches, according to a source that I'm not sure I can post here. Much more of an EDC knife.

I do think the Mehr (as well as the Tatanka) should be an important addition to the Spyderco lineup, as I have heard and seen many requests for a plus sized folder in their lineup, although for myself the Slysz Bowie is a much better size
