well, the knife wasnt super smooth when i first got it, i got it brand new, so i took it apart, just to get to know my knife ya know? I put it back together, tighten the pivot back to normal, and the blade is super tough to open.. im kinda confused here. any help would be awesome, thanks
 
some thing is not lined up,no matter how tight you tighten the pivot it still should be easy to open.....
 
I got it, its as smooth as when it first came, but not butter smooth, will it get smoother over time? since its a week old
 
Yeah the washers and the ceramic ball get smoother over time. You should see my 2005 sebenza, it opens like an axis lock knife.
 
Awesome, appreciate the help guys, i'm new to the CRK family, this is my first sebenza and I love it. SOLID work of art. Just want it to get smoother, and the lockbar sits kinda far, it doesn't touch the other side of the frame but i would say its about 80%, not sure why???
 
Both of my Sebenzas took some time to break in. Now they open with no effort and are super smooth.

My large 21 was STIFF when it arrived to me. I took it apart, lubed it up...still stiff. Played with it for awhile and it broke in real nice.
 
Lube the area around the pivot that the detent/lockbar travels on the blade as you open it. That was the #1 cause of my slow opening issues.

Pretty normal. Most are around 60-75% across. Mine came at around 80%. As long as it locks up tight your golden :thumbup:
 
Could the pocket clip be putting too much pressure on the lock bar?? Does this even happen??

Yes pocket clip with change lock-up

I removed all pocket clips on my 12 CRK & there was a small change on most
