Yes, I said it. I have come the long way around, and have fallen in love with this oddly shaped blade. The pedigree of the design is more sound than most other "Tactical blades" or "Combat designs".
I know very little of this knife. I have heard that it is licensed only to Boker to manufacture? Yet I thought there were a few people selling "smachets". The leaf shape pattern is hardly something liimited to only that one name, but I thought I had seen them advertised as named "Smachet".
So what is the legal jumbo around the Smachet name, and Col. Applegate allowing Boker to do what it is they use to do, while other makers do the same? What is the legal stipulation surrounding the Smachet license? Thank you all.
