Small 21 CGG Ladder Damascus

Hey all, I just got this the other day and I'm really liking it. I love ladder Damascus and this small one really has a nice pattern. I didn't care for the shiny flat on the presentation side so I masked it off carefully and blasted that part. Turned out really nice. I like my knives better without lots of mirror polish. Whacha think?

Thanks for the comments all! I've done the same treatment to my CF inlay also. I kinda shied away from the inlays other than micarta because I didn't like the shiny part. Now that I know it works good there's a whole realm of possibilities! [emoji4]

Excellent job! I personally like the polished slabs. But this is definitely very unique. How did you manage not to damage the CF inlays?

I used blue masking tape over the inlays and then trimmed carefully with a sharp razor blade. Masking tape seems to be impervious to sandblasting.

Nice work, they both turned out great, and I'd probably have bought each of them already if they were offered this way from CRK. I understand why they are not but yours look very nice. :thumbup:
