Small 25?

You never know. When Chris was asked, he said it hasn't even been designed yet. I really dont think there is plans to make a small sebenza 25 or a small umnumzaan. But thats me.

I'm inclined to think the same thing, the Umnumzaan and the 25 are aimed in a direction that a small knife would not be inline with the designs intended use. I think we may see a totally new smaller knife like we did with the Ti-Lock rather than a small 25...That said one should never say never and it is a Sebenza so small is not totally out of the question, IMO. CRK do seem to be good at surprises though so who knows ? :p

I am one of the rare ones who can't hang onto the small, and when I close the large, I have to "get out of the way" of the blade. The 25 seems to impress me much more, in this manner, than my other large Sebbies. Interesting, and a bit surprising, to me.

I have been waiting for a Small Umnumzaan or Small Sebenza 25 since the Umnum was announced in 2008.

I believe that we didn't get a Small Umnumzaan because a year or two after the release of the Umnumzaan, Chris decided to move toward the Sebenza 25 and therefore any thought of a Small Umnumzaan was abandoned. Now, I honestly think it's just a matter of time before we get a Small Sebenza 25. As soon as they work out the kinks of the "Large" 25 and start offering inlays and CGGs, I think a Small 25 will soon follow.

I would imagine that eventually Chris is going to move the entire Sebenza line to the "pivot bushing-less" design, thus a small 25 would be inevitable. As with the discontinued Regulars and Classics, having two product lines sharing the "Sebenza" title is probably cost prohibitive.

What kinks are there? Just curious as I've never handled a CRK before but I do have a 25 on the way which should be here by mid week.

Maybe "kinks" was not the right word. I was referring more to the general process of creating and then mass producing a new product with new parts and assembly methods--and doing so within the tight tolerances that CRK uses.
