Hi guys,

Haven't posted a picture of a knife I've made in a while, so I thought I'd share one.

After being inspired by Nick Wheeler and his thread(s) on the Paranee fighters at the end of last year, I made my first fighter-style knife, and while I was experimenting, I thought why not also do the first inlay on a sheath. The inlay is beaver tail (thanks to Paul Long for parting with a few tails for me to play with).

Some specs:
OAL: 10 1/2"
Blade: CPM 154, 6" long, 1 1/4" wide, 5/32" thick, full flat grind with a small swedge on the top, heat treated to 60 RHC with a scotch-brite finish
Handle: African Blackwood, 4 1/2" long
Guard: 416 SS with black G10 spacers, satin finished
Pin: 416 SS

Any comments and feedback is always greatly appreciated - I'm pretty thick-skinned!

tedinatl,

I think it looks exceptional. It has a nice flow to it, and the handle looks very ergonomical.

My only small critique would be to make the swedge a bit larger, if that makes sense.

By the way, the sheath looks great as well.

Thanks Brandon. Yes, the swedge could probably be a bit larger. The angle of the pic doesn't show it off very well, though.

That's a beautiful knife. Can definitely see Nick's influence, but it's not a copy. Love the material choice and the execution.

VERY nice as is, but I could like a bit more grind to the swedge also.

It DOES have a CLEAN look and the sheath is well done as too.

Great to see more local folks. Up until now the only makers I knew that were from my neck of the woods were Hossom and Fletcher. I like the simple lines of that fighter and transition of the cutting edge to the choil.
