Hey all, I'm trying to track down a replacement for the knife my girlfriend has carried for a long time. I've searched through all the sites I can think of, so now I ask you guys:D Does anyone know of any small (around a 2-2.5" blade) locking hawkbills, with a thumb stud and a fairly slim profile? I've been beating my head against a wall trying to replace the CCC folder she carries, but I'm not finding anything:( Barring that, any ideas of folders in that size range that are slim and low-profile would be much appreciated:thumbup:

Thanks,

Walter

Tom Mayo makes a Hawksbill. His knives are all slim & light.

Thanks:thumbup: Unfortunately, I've got to stick with production folders under $100 for now:foot: I should have mentioned that, but...now I've got a good reason to go browse Mr. Mayo's site;)

Spyderco Tasman Salt sounds about right, but no thumbstud. Super thin and light, rustless too.

Not yet, but Spyderco is coming out with a Ladybug3 with a hawkbill blade.

Boker Subclaw! Chad los banos little, perfect comfortable knife.

Ah! Subclaw! I had forgotten about that one. Really a great little hawkbill. Probably a bit more in your size range then the Tasman Salt too.

Boker Subclaw as mentioned, and Byrd Crossbill. Both super cheap good quality folding hawkbill blades.

It also isn't exactly small and slim. The blade is about 3.5 inches long. It does make a good work knife for gardening and such.

I like the looks of that Hawkbill Ladybug alot. It's a shame it will only be available in SE.
