My latest friction folder. This will not be to everyone's liking I'm sure. I made this because I have not seen it done, and I wanted to see if I could do it.It turned out really well, and sold quickly. Bobcat jaw handle, 1095 blade with antique finish, steel backspacer, deerskin dangler with a dark brown mammoth bead, and the cheek bolsters are dark brown bark mammoth ivory. Steel pivot pin and copper handle pins. Sheath is rawhide over veg-tan, lined with deerskin. Decorations are deerskin fringe, tin cones, antique trade beads, horesehair, snapping turtle claws across the front, and a coyote claw on the back. Also came with a braided neck lanyard that is not shown.

I really like that.
It really represents the primitive style you and a few others try to achieve.
Folder and sheath really follow the same theme.

Very nice, glad to see you back to your element. ;) :)

John I see way it sold fast. I have not seen a knife like it. And don't think I will unless you make another. I like what you do.

that is so cool it ain't even funny!.....never saw a cooler friction folder....ryan

Unique. really creative and a great compliment of materials. Wish she was available to add to my collection. I'd buy this knife in a second and it would be a keeper!

Thanks a lot for the kind words. This one was a lot of fun, as well as a bit of a challenge, so I was pleased when it turned out so well. This is a hard style to both get a foothold in, as well as try to set yourself apart from the masters of the style such as Daniel Winkler, Karen Shook, and Chuck Burrows, but it is what I like to do the most so I keep trying.
