I had recently purchased a blade cover for my Trailhawk from Brian and Tena Otto. During my correspondence, I had inquired about a small belt axe. Tena told me that they should have some ready soon, and she would email when they were done to see if I still wanted one! Well, when one became available, I grabbed it up!
The head is 4140 and the handle is hickory (I believe) that has been stained dark. This belt axe is small, but mighty. I took it on a hike yesterday and it performed flawlessly. It is an excellent axe to fit into (or onto) a pack.
Here are a few pics while it's still in new condition.
I would also like to add that both of my transactions with these folks have been as smooth as one could hope for! Great product, great company, and great people to work with! Brian and Tena have earned my business!!
