I really didn't expect to finish and post two in one day.
This little puppy is an 80% scale of what was supposed to be a paring knife, but is something else instead.
Specs:
OAL: 6"
1/8" O1, 1000grit finish on blade flats.
2.7" blade, tip to handle
G10 scales, 1/8" brass pins
This knife is an evolution of the same drawing DNA.
I exended the curve of the belly of the handle to the edge, removing the guard/choil, more like a kitchen knife. I think the result, plus the new blade shape is much more elegant. My knife-making mentor demo'd gently rounding the spine forward of the handle with a file as well. The handles are sanded to 220, which seems to be a nice balance between finish and grippiness. It could probably use a touch more in a couple hard-to-get spots.
I think this is some of my best work to date.
Thanks for Looking,
