Got my new issue of Backwoodsman yesterday, and saw an article on survival knives. Cold Steel, Mineral Mountain, and SWAMP RAT! I was surprised to see such a good knife profiled in this particular magazine, not that they don't recommend good knives, but they usually profile low end SAKs, Opinels and Moras. Anyway, I just thought it was neat to see the Ratweiler in Backwoodsman, and Swamp Rat get its out name out to some people who really use their knives.

Not an ad, just a small write up. One of the few magazines that doesn't profile knives just for advertisers. Writers are the readers of the magazine, and I believe they are paid in subscriptions.

I've heard about that magazine...might be time I checked it out. ;)

Thanks SHS!

I haven't seen the article but it was a pleasure speaking to Dan Shechtman about the Ratweiler and some of our other knives. If my memory serves me correctly he has had some other write ups about us in other mags. He's a good guy

:D:D

In addition to Kim Breed, Dan is the only other magazine reviewer whose opinion I value. Jerry Vancook is a good suspense writer, though ;).
