Hi,new to forum this my first post.I had a small boot knife years ago, late 70s I think. Small double edge polished blade white or bone colored coffin shaped handle. I think it was only around5 or 6 inches long with a black leather sheath. I thought it was imperial but not sure any help would great thanks

bigfish,
Welcome to the group. Any chance you can post a picture? If not you can email me one and I'll post it for you. Takes a lot of the guesswork out of the identification. I know Phil has a couple of boot knives to drool over.

Thanks for reply Irv. no pic im trying to identify a knife I once had. I bought it in px at camp lejune N.C.1980 I lost it in okinawa japan, only have the picture in my head. As far as the sheath goes could of been tan with metal spring clip .The handle was coffin shaped it had a short double edge blade white or bone color plastic handle. thanks

Bigfish, perhaps the fog of time is responsible for your memory of a double-edged Imperial boot knife. I don't think Imperial ever made one, closest thing would be the Survival M-7S, which as a military man you would have recalled as basically being a modified M7 bayonet.

I'm guessing you had the Kabar model 2750. Fine little made in the USA last ditch weapon. Seems to match your description somewhat and was sold in PXs.

Welcome to our forum! If I'm wrong here about the KaBAr, perhaps one of the other forums can help you out.

Phil

It could possibly be one of the old Rigid boot knives from when they were made in the U.S.A. I had one of these in the late 70`s.
