Small Bowie

This small bowie was discribed to be over the phone and I think it turned out pretty well. The blade is 7 1/4 in with an OAL of 12 inches and is 5160H. The handle is stabilized Maple Burl dyed green. Thanks, Lin

That's a slick piece Lin - I like the file-worked guard and pommel, but I'm not stuck on the fileworked spine - just personal preference. Keep these beauties coming!

Thanks guys. For me a little filework goes a long way, but the customer wanted it in those areas. It turned out fine and whats better is , he likes it.

Nick, it does'nt take as long for rope filework as you might think. But you do have to keep plugging and it'll get done. I have about 2 hours in the filework, if I had to guess. What I do have to do is plan a little at what stage to do it. For instance, its better to file the spine before you grind the clip, so it will blend better. Thanks again, Lin :)
