They will probably be announced at the SHOT show.

I wish for this line they would give different blade/handle options. Like "choose your blade steel" "choose your handle" - semi custom shop without custom shop prices. i.e. Why not have a PaperStone™ S30V with various graphic design options?

Could be some sweet options with this platform!

I'm with Wolf, hope they put out some options or maybe add it to the Custom Shop line.

:D:thumbup::cool:

Sounds good!

Which ones will be out in February? A store here in town has had the smaller FRN/420HC model since Thanksgiving. It's a nice size, I like it.

Awesome! I already have two of the small selects, but I could always use a couple more. Paperstone and s30v would be perfect!

I am still nearly positive that Chuck Buck said the small vantage will be available in s30v this year-he was already carrying one back in Sept-Oct when we went to see him at a Gander Mtn. I sure hope my memory isnt failing. I also thought the scale on his was G10 but couldnt swear to it.

The new small vantages will have the same handle and blade material as its bigger brother.
342-S30V & G-10
341-Sandvik & charcoal diamond wood

Thanks Hengem-I remember you posting that before-sorry to make you be redundant.:D

Does it still look like February? I can't find any for presale. You would think someone would have them on their site by now.

I hope Bass Pro will carry them, got a gift card to use. :)

presz, I called Buck and thats what I was told. I have been looking for them also but with no luck.

You just never know about the new introductions. The Paradigm Pro was supposeded to be available last August 1st. I've had one ordered since last years mid-year catalog came out and still no knife.

A Buck rep told me at year's end that:

1) The smaller Vantage with S30 blade would be released in 2010.

2) Buck would begin making the Bantam series in the U.S. (Both of mine say Taiwan.)

If I'm not mistaken, the Vantage already is U.S.-made.

The Paradigm Avid is available at Knifecenter.com Dave!
I decided to pass on it. Moving bolsters seemed complicated, likely to gum up. However, I am fired up about the Baby Vantage Pro!!

I'd like to cancel my order for the Pro anyway. I would go for the small Vantage. It turns out that I like them better than I thought and the Buddy that I gave one to loves his.
