Hey Folks,
Earlier this year I entered a knife into a contest on another forum. Well, I didn't win..... snif-snif :( David Farmer won the contest. I didn't mind losing to such a great guy and good maker. The winner got to either take their knife back or choose any one of the other contestant's knives.(The rest were auctioned off to support the site.) David chose my knife as his prize, which is almost as good as winning.... well, kinda:rolleyes:.

Anyway.... several months later, I finally got around to sheathing the thing.:o Thanks to David Farmer for his patience and thanks to you guys for lookin'.

5160 Hand forged
5/32" spine at ricasso

9" OA length
4" blade
5" handle
Full tang
1 3/8" wide blade
Handle is leather backed, hemp wrapped and epoxy soaked
Sheath is 10oz cowhide, hand stitched, tooled, riveted and wax dipped.

I really like your style. They are just so interesting to look at and when you look closer you can see that though they are made to look "rough" they are very precisely and cleanly executed. Well done!

Every frikin' time Rick...... every time!!

You just can't help but hit a home run every time you come to the plate my friend. This one's clean out'a the stadium!

Some of your knives scream out for a good thrashing. This one, though, just sorta' whispers...."I gotcha' covered".

Well, I got this little beastie and I gotta say it is a work of art and craftsmanship. It has a heft and "toughness" that is rare to find in a knife of this size. Nice and sharp, (I HATE sharpening a new knife...:p), and secure in hand, you can't go wrong with a knife like this. The sheath is tight and solid.

Rick is a class act and it shows in the pride he puts in his work.

Thanks, man for entering the contest. I am glad I won so I could claim this prize. Better luck next year....;)

Great work Rick ! I love how the tooling on the sheath compliments the forged finish of the blade.
You are quite an innovator sir.
Happy Holidays !
Cheers
Shant
