Hi all,
I have never handled a Cold Steel Triple Action, but I know from experience that a 5 1/8 inch handled folder is too large for me (+too scary looking). The ideal would be 3 inch plain tanto blade and 4 inch closed. I'd buy one asap.
Any fellow forumites in favor of a smaller CoSTA ?
People from CS : what do you think ?

My bet is you'd be hard pressed to find many Triple Action fans in any configuration. Kinda gimmicky in my opinion.

Check out Smoky Mountain Knife Works, they're carrying the Case Trifold again, for about $12. It's got a zytel handle as long as your thumb, a hollow-ground utility blade that will take an edge, you could take it on any airplane, and you'll get to play with the cool design without the aggravation.

I've had one for years. The only problem I have with it is I forget I've got it in my pocket and reach for another knife!

I would be interested. And with a smaller profile, they could use a more sturdy handle material. That plain Aluminum was just too soft. If the price came down accordingly, that would be a plus, too.

At the BAKCA show in September, Phil Bogusczweski (you spell it then, dang it) had a few hand made ones out of BG-42. They were extremely cool. I would'a popped on in me pocket, but they were $475, and of course they are not the most anatomically correct, ergonomically select designs out there. Still kinda' stings that I didn't score one of them though. Cool.
