I recently made this knife for my second cousin and asked Coop to shoot it for me before I ship it across the ocean.

The 5 1/4" blade is a pretty deeply etched damascus that I forged out of 1080 and 15-n-20. The guard is 416 stainless and the handle is stabilized red mallee burl.

It's the first knife I've finished in quite a while, as an increasingly busy work schedule has severely imposed on my shop time. Hopefully I'll get to bang out a few more before much longer.

Any comments and critiques would be welcomed.

That's a real looker. Very nicely done.

Dude, I didn't know you still had it in ya! Nice one, man! The burl and the damascus work really well with one another, and the guard offers a perfect visual balance.

Derrick - I'm so glad to see you back at the forge. This one is really well done. The damascus looks great and the overall lines are very pleasing. Nice wood you selected for the handle, too. Who did teh sheath?

Really nice one Derrick. I like the flow on it. Great to see you making more. Excellent job, and nice sheathwork too.

That's dead on in my opinion from every aspect.
Kinda got a mini-Loveless style sheath going on there and it's nice.
Time away sure hasn't hurt you any.

Very nicely done, I'm sure the new owner will be quite pleased with it. Congrats,

Looks good Wulf. Nice shape and piece of burl. The sheath looks perfect for that style knife as well.

Derrick, That's beautiful! It has wonderful balance and the damascus is great. I'm glad to see a finished "Wulf" knife after so long! Keep it up...

Derrick,
That's a beaut!!! What's you wait time for a duplicate with Koa wood for the handle??? :D
Dang, but that overall shape really floats the old boat!

Thanks again for the compliments guys, really appreciate the encouragement.

Joe, estimated delivery date right now would be June 14, 2026, between 2 and 3pm. Not because I have a huge list, mind you, but because I'm really slow and just don't get enough time in the shop!

But if you do manage to dupe that one... you know how to get ahold of me!!!! :D

Derrick Wulf...Derrick Wulf...Derrick WULF! Thats what they will be saying.;)
Very nice looking knife and sheath. Your shop must be a total mess and needs some cleaning no doubt.:D
