I didn't see it over on the maker's gallery, or I would have commented on it because it's such a standout compared to the norm over there.
With a 4" blade I would call it an average rather than small hunter.
This is a terrific knife. The trim, racy, and severely simple design that is elegant and seemingly in flight is exactly what I seek in a hunting knife. I like the damascus blade because it looks good and is more corrosion resistant. I would like a clip even better, but that is no knock here.
The inobtrusive guard is just right and not overly done like so many I see. That thick bottom edge reminds me of a Pete Crowl guard, of which I'm a fan.
The straight, slender, oval/round grip is my preference. The long, curving butt looks fine, but I can't see enough detail in the photo to say whether the edges are sharp back there, something I would not care for. The bottom line is not clear to me, but it looks like a small Loveless hook at the rear, which never goes out of style for me.
The wood is attractive, especially for bacote, but I like amber/black ironwood or African blackwood better with a damascus blade. Only one handle pin is better than 2 but hidden pins are better yet, yet this is a minor point.
The sheath may be very basic, but its form and stitching look first rate and very sturdy.
This is a very nice knife for which you should be justly proud.
