Since years i make myself a small utility knife for my holidays. I then use it all the time for all tasks, mostly preparing food or other small cutting tasks. Normally those knives "disappear" at the end of my holidays or shortly after, because either somebody saw it, liked it and bought it or i gave it away as a gift to a good friend. In the beginning, my holiday knives were mostly all steel forged ones, but with the years they got a little bit more sophisticated. Last year i made a knife with a 52100 steel blade and sambar stag scales with bronze pins.
And this year i made this here. Blade is forged from 290 layer damascus steel from O2 and another tool steel with 1.1 % C and 1.3 % tungsten. Handle scales are... no, not ivory, but polished moose antler with domed sterling silver pins.

OK Keith, next time i make one in Wootz. Actually, i have 6 wootz blades lying around waiting for handles.

Achim, how are things going with stainless wootz? I haven't seen any yet. Do you have photos on your website? Could you please provide a link to your website? I just got a new computer with new operating system and I didn't save a file with all my bookmarks.
