This is a good little design. 6.5" overall ground from 1/8" 0-1. Handle is Cocobolo with a thong hole. The one with the lower grind is headed for the UK once the sheath is made and my logo put on. These felt nice so I thought I'd post them.

Thanks for looking.

I thought you'd like it ;) That wood is just too damn nice! I have used half of my stash. Finished 8 knives with that Cocobolo. The higher grind may just be mine. I intended it to go to the sale forum but I am liking it now;). We'll see because I cant keep them all! If I hadnt already made my Stepsons Christmas present he would get that one for sure.

Brian,

Your knives are excellent. I'm working on my first knife and really like smaller knives but after viewing your galleries/designs I can't wait to make some larger ones!

I'll have to post my Stepsons Christmas present when I can shoot it without him around. Its the larger Companion version with a higher tip. The recent modle have the tip droped down for a more pointy design. You can see the 2 differences here.....the drop point just makes the tip easier for say, starting an insertion cut for example.

I'll try to get an image of his up soon ;)

Rich, hope my enmail helps out some.....

Very nice -- looks like a great little blade. Now clean those hands! :D

Hey Brian ! Nice lookin companion there. Are you putting a clay on the spine before HT or are you just edge quenching. I like that finish alot. Im really toying around alot lately with finishes and 0-1 is what I use mainly on stock removal blades....any help would be appreciated. Shoot me an email if you would on your process. I also want to chat with you on a knife.

Love That High Point!

Torn on whether or not its as practical as the drop point as a survival knife; sure looks better
