Made this up as a belated Father's Day present for my dad. He's still using a file knife I made last year when I was starting knifemaking. I'm pleased that it's holding up so well, all things considered, but it's not really a knife that I feel is up to par with where I'm at now.
This one's a fairly basic design, but I'm pleased with it. It's 52100, 7.25" OAL, 3.25" blade, full flat ground, and heat treated by Peters to 59-60 RC, with Burl Source maple burl for the handle, steel pins, brass lanyard tube.

I made a leather sheath for it also, courbouilled for retention and water resistance.

It's fun to look back at where I was, and see where I'm at now, and then look at the other great knives I see go up here and realize I will get to keep learning and improving for the rest of my life. Cheers!
