Nothing spectacular but they were fun to make. I've had these almost finished for a while but I was dragging my butt on the sheaths. :o
They're kind of a 3 finger knife although the pinky grabs real well on the back of the pommel giving it a solid full grip feel.

While working on attaching the pommel I stumbled upon a visual effect created by the hex screw and decided to incorporate it in the design. I think it looks interesting, a bit “steampunk...ish”.

These being intended as EDCs, I wanted to hide as much of the knife as possible but still have a relatively quick and easy access. So I made the shape of the pommel front and the cutout in the sheath so that you can take it out with the tip of the a finger in there. It works surprisingly well.

Blade length: 2.75”
OAL: 5.5”
Grind: Flat
Steel: CPM154
Handle: African Blackwood
Fittings: Stainless steel (304)

The only thing I am disappointed in is how I messed up the maker's marks like that, they are all over the place and one of them is not as crisp as the other two. :o I definitely need to pay closer attention to placement next time and a better etching setup/technique would not hurt either. Part of the learning process I guess.

I hope they like them.

Thanks for looking.

Love the pommel, looks like a turbine!

That also looks like some choice blackwood, gorgeous.

excellent. I love little 2 and 3 finger knives like this. One of these days I have to make myself something nice like these.. instead of carrying around my failed commissioned pieces.

Thanks for the good words guys, much appreciated.

Funny Scott, I also did these in part to have something better than the first real knife I made to carry around. :o

Very cool, man. I too like the pommel treatment, very unique. It's good to see you keeping at it and progressing over the years here.

Addicted, the pommel does fill the hand nicely and would provide support for the fingers if you had to punch with it. Not that I designed these as self defence knives of course but a nice feature if it came down to it.

Salem, sadly I know that my very low output could suggest that I am quitting sometimes but I assure you that knifemaking is pretty much all I do with the little free time I have. (And even smaller amount of brain power.) ;) Of course if I did not choose to do such complicated (for me) knives like the Confessor I am working on I might have a little more to show for my efforts but that's where my heart is. I can't wait for the day when I can go full time.

I've said it before but I do appreciate the good words guys, means a lot.

Just thought you guys might like to see a pic of me giving the knives to my brothers. They seemed happy. Next time I'll have to make them larger ones though. :o

It really took the in hand photo to show off the scale of these lil ones. I really like the execution of the butt cap and the well I don't know what to call it but it looks like a plane's engine. Great to keep it in the family, normally when you're good at something the people closest to you never get to see it experience that craft, skill or gift most close to our hearts.

Great work :D

those are really neat :)

VERY impressive, Pat. You should definitely offer something like that (similar) to your growing fan base.

Thanks for the good words guys. They are quite comfortable in hand and most likely something I will offer in the future.
