I like the overall look. Bos heat-treat is tops. Love the freshly ground (unpolished) no-nonsence finish. It shows off your skill on the grinder. Good detail on design. Is that back edge sharp?

Chisel,

Looks like a nice blade. I tend to like wharncliff/hawkbills as utility knives. It definately has a bit of a Weiland appearance to it (i.e. Wasp) but with a less dramatic curve. It is double ground? What are the dimensions? Nice looking piece :)

thanks for the kind words dudes!

Bruce:i too like the sharpnes(contrast) of the different grind lines... but mostly on tactical type blades,i think it enhances the overall look of the piece...
the top grind is not sharp, but it wouldn't take much to do,
dang laws up here in Mass would put me in the Big house:rolleyes: if it were sharpened...
Rene maybe at the next hammer inn,i'll show you how i do it ,remind me once and while i have a senior moment and forget:D

Wow, that looks intense! I like the way you shaped the scales, really sets off that blade.

Mike, I had that too; go to the end of the url and backspace out "orig.jpg" that comes ofter the first .jpg

Hope that makes sense...

Dave
