I am going to try to start carrying a small fixed blade for EDC. I am really looking for a custom, but production knives are ok as well. My budget is about $150.00 or less. Can anyone recommend one and give some insight and maybe pictures as to how it carries. I have seen a few from some makers on this forum that look like they would work, but I don't know if I could get a pocket sheath with clip for them. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to BF :)
Do you have a specific blade shape in mind? What do you like as far as steel goes? Synthetic or Natural handle material?
There are lots of talented people here that can make you a sheath with just about any materials you'd want.

Check out JK Knives here, He make exactly what you are looking for and you won't beat his price or service. I am sure that some others make them too but I have sevaral from JK.

Take a look at the Spyderco Street Beat by Fred Perrin. Its a great small FB with a lot of utility and combative applications. For a bigger knife the Entrek Cobra is a real nice smaller combative blade. JK is making some small 6" overall utility knives with a kydex sheath that would work for pocket carry. The above knives have micarta scales. Breeden and Koster also small utility style knives.

i would like a convexed blade or wharncliff. i am not to specific on steel. i prefer micarta but would love some buckeye burl or the like

JK EDC 6 inch overall length. Clip sheath came from another maker but Noah(see JK website) would be able to do the sheath.

The Izula is great for pocket carry because it's so thin and light. Just drop the whole thing sheath and all down in your pocket.

Get a Don Cowles production version. They go for $100 and look the beesknees!

He has a picture of them on his website
