Hi all!

I was wondering how many reputable knife companies have small fixed blades ( full tang prefeered ) with 4" or smaller blade and has Wharncliffe or Sheepshoof blade (straight edge blade) ? So far I think Bark River TUSK is only one I've seen. Tusk is very nice looking knife. Are there much similar fixed blades you could recomend?

For some strange reason, I want to say that Boker made a fixed blade wharcom, but I'll have to do some more research about that.

Edit: Well, it seems as though Boker makes a fixed blade subcom, but not the wharcom. What a shame.

Contact mykulmorris. He makes a great knife from re-tempered files. He can cut one with a wharncliffe style, full tang, just about any size and dimension you want, and he also makes great kydex sheaths for them too. For the amount of knife you get, you won't pay a lot. And you get a custom done the way you want it done.

Thanks! His prices are sensible (though I need to add possible international shipping and 30% toll feeds but its worth of it ) his knives look very nice!

Dogfish is nice! Albeit I am really thinking contact mykulmorris and ask price of his Profiler 85 knife modified into Wharncliffe and with Lanyard hole. That be quite darn good...

Notice my Bark River 'T.U.S.K.' below on the far right:

I use it for carving and 'fine' bushcrafting, although it is sold as a 'utility' knife. It's 2.9" convex edge of .170" A2 steel is strong and comes deceptively sharp - includes an excellent sheath. They start ~$140 delivered in Micarta and go up, dependent on handle material. They did have a smaller sized one - the 'mini-T.U.S.K.', I believe.

That Benchmade on far left looks really nice ^^

It's a BM 201 'Activator+' with a 3.63" x .140 full tang D2 steel blade, stabilized winewood scales, and a decent leather sheath. Current MSRP is $130 - expect <$100 shipped - and, if mine was indicative, they could take a lesson from Bark River, Buck, Kershaw, etc in sharpening. Mine needed some touch up on the Sharpmaker - it was fairly fast, however. Actually, the BRK&T convex edges really impressed me - it may be my first 'attempt' at convexing. My only real objection to the knife's design is that the .54" handle thickness feels thin to my medium+ mitts. The fixed Griptilian, #151, is only .63" and contoured FRN, but feels better. The scales are held on by Torxx headed screws - and I have some Dymondwood, so it may change. It is quite useful as-is.

That T.U.S.K. is a user, too!
