What do you guys suggest for a small fixed blade knife, on the cheaper end, that comes with a sheath that I can clip to either my belt, or preferably the inside of my pocket?

I'm not very well versed when it comes to fixed blades. Any input or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mitch

I'm a big fan of the Izula or Izula 2. Lightweight, easy to clean, 1095 steel, feels good in hand. Might need a different sheath for inside the pocket.

CHECK YOUR LAWS.

  • What's your definition of a small fixed blade?
  • Blade length of 3.5"-4" or 3"-3.5" or 2.5"-3"?
  • What's your budget?

ESEE Knives Izula-II Concealed Carry Neck Knife w/ Sheath has a 2.9" blade of 1095 steel, Micarta handle and goes for about $70.

Around 2.5"-3" and under $100. I like the izula but I'd really like to find a knife that comes with a sheath that has a clip attached to it. Maybe that is just an aftermarket piece I would have to purchase.

Get the Izula-II with kit. Complete Kit Includes: ParaCord, Cord Lock, Large Split Ring, Small Split Ring, Ferro Fire Starting Rod, Emergency Whistle, Plastic Snap Hook, Clip Plate Kit.

I just got a Boker Plus Tom Krein PSK in the mail on Wednesday and have carried it the last two days. It comes with a Kydex sheath that can be set up for horizontal or vertical carry, I chose vertical. I am carrying in on my left side in front of my hip, so far so good. The knife is 6.25" oal, with the blade making up 2.7" of that. It is a thick stock knife at .187", but the knife is flat ground and seems to cut well. It is made from 440C and Boker Plus does a good job with this steel. The pic is one I got from the internet. Oh yeah, cost was $67.

I honestly know basically zero about the subject, but the newish Houge neckers look to be a good value to me. Around $65 in 154cm steel, clip or wharncliff blade shapes, Elishawitze design.

Check out the Esee Izula II Kit. For the money you really can't beat it unless you don't like the looks or ergos.

Can't beat that deal and add the Esee warranty into the equation and it is a no brainer!
