hey guys im looking for a small to medium fixed blade with a blade length like 3-4 inches. an rc-3 would be prefect IF i could afford one..grr...but any other suggestions for around or under 50? im not really into neck knife style, i still want a real handle i can hold on too.

Becker Necker or Esee Izula. You can get micarta handles for Izula later and thus have real handles. For Becker I am not sure if there is after market handles. Boker Gnome would be nice but under 3" blade.

I would say go with an Esee Izula. Like already mentioned you can buy handles slabs for it. I didn't think I'd like mine but I love my izula. I don't have the handle slabs on mine though.

Well, I just started another thread on the new Boker Plus Rhino, including comments, pictures and a link to a concise video I made.
I suggest to check it out, it may fit your needs and taste !
It should soon be available in the USA, within your budget class if you search the online stores.

thanks for the suggestions! ive been looking at the izula but i think i want to go with something just a little bit bigger

Lot of good NIB knives can be had from ebay for that money. I just picked a CS SRK in Carbon V for less that $50. Mint!

Razorz made an excellent suggestion with Condor knives. However, I would look at the Nessmuck. It is simply one of the best of that design I've ever seen, and you can't beat the price for what you get.
