Small Fixed EDC/tactical/bushcrafty knife

So, I'm breaking down and getting two fixed blades, a large one for bigger tasks, and a small one for the small stuff.

I'm thinking this small knife should be stainless or near-stainless because I'd like to use it for food prep (I'd love s110v, but I'd live with s35vn, vg10, Elmax, etc.). I'd also like it to be fairly thick and full-tang for light prying applications (I know it's frowned upon, but I'd like the option). Finally, I want something I can choke up on and whittle with comfortably, probably best with jimping on the spine. This knife will be carried on a belt, maybe on the small of my back.

I'll just list some of the knives I'm considering, and maybe that'll give a feel for what it is I'm trying to find:

CRK Nyala (this may be too large for precision tasks, but I do like the belly and jimping)

CRK PS

Hinderer Flashpoint

Strider SLCC

Busse Mean Street (not stainless enough?)

F1GM

Open to custom recommendations, as well, under $500.

I'd really like micarta scales, or none at all.

In re: blade shape/design, I'm a big fan of bowies, clip-points, swedges, and certain drop points.

Thanks! Sorry for posting so many of these!

I like the Bark River Aurora and Bravo 1 in A2. Also the Fallkniven F1, mainly because I have all them. I have to say I like the Aurora the best. Great ergonomics and size. I sold all my big Becker BK2, 7, 9 and just have the smaller 4-5" belt knife size now. This seems to me the best size for my applications, without having to use 2 knives. Anything bigger gets a whomp from the axe or cut with a saw.

Hope that helps.

what kind of large tasks are we talking about? batonning and pry bar substitute? if thats the case i would get a becker bk2 for the big stuff and a fallkniven for the smaller stuff and food prep. I know you wanted all stainless for food prep but if your going for a two knife combo it might be a good way to go. this way you have a nice stainless and 1095crv for the hard use stuff

for prying I'd worry more about thickness than full tang, it's not gonna fail at the handle, it's going to fail at the blade. unless you get really crazy on it.
