So, I'm looking to gift a nice to an exceptionally kind friend of mine, who has been helping me a lot lately. I found a Spyderco Lava on the forums a while back and he loves it, and I can see why. He likes a small blade, about 2 inches, and cares more about ergos and how a knife feels than almost anything, with overall quality a close second. Here is where I could use some help, he's handled all of my knives, and there are some blades there that I would call exceptionally comfortable.. sage 2, old g 10 ukpk, BM 741 (feels good to me for a 4.5 inch folder) but nothing feels better in the hand than that little Chad Los Banos Lava. Sometimes I wish I had kept that blade, as I must say, it is VERY comfortable, if a bit thin for my taste.. So I'm looking for a small folder, about 2 inches, with a really exceptional grip/ergos. None of the knife stores in my area have great selections to hold, but I am thinking maybe a dragonfly, but the g 10 model is a bit more than I can afford. So, I just wasted a whole bunch of words... What do the great folks of the forum believe to the most comfortable small knife around 50 bucks. or more. Sorry I suppose I am one long winded S O B. Thanks much for your help, any opinions apprectiated.

If you cannot afford G10 Dragonfly (IIRC Lava was more expensive than G10 Dragonfly), you can get it in FRN or chase a deal on G10. Spyderco factory forum can be helpful for tips.

Thanks much for the input! I miht just go the extra bit for a g10 dragonfly, I do love that design, and want one for myself to match my Foliage Green UKPK.. gadjetman, have you handled the nano? just checked it out, I like the design but have not loved zytel handles in the past, and have not yet owned a boker plus (or Boker) shameful, indeed... but, if anyone has handled the nano, how does it feel, hate to say it, but it looks almost too good to be true, so, does it feel cheap? the subcom is on my own list as is the dragonfly.. thanks for the help, love the forum but everytime I post I end up wanted several knives instead of one....
