Small folders

As I work in an office environment, I only take a small folder to work so to not alarm my co-workers. I have been carrying a Byrd Finch and a Timberline Alary. I have also considered the Spyderco LadyBug and the Boker Subcom, although the former is too much like the Finch, and the latter a bit bulky for my pants' watch pocket. I like Kershaws, but would prefer that the knife not have assisted opening.

Are there other small folders that you would recommend?

Thanks

And another Al Mar would be this one here called the Osprey, very cool little knife,

I have no choice but to carry a small folder. Company forbids anything with more than a 2" blade.
At the moment I alternate between
- Spyderco Ladybug
- Buck Colleague.

Two I am planning on buying:
- AG Russel 2.5 Titanium Lockback Folder
- Case Wharncliff Trapper.

Need a pocket clip? One hand opening?

The Boker Keycom is looking pretty nifty to me.

I'm an office-dweller, too. Usually a Spyderco Calypso Jr rides my pocket, or a Benchmade Mel Pardue predecessor to the 530 (but I don't know the number). Both have blades just under 3 in, and weight nearly nothing.

My daughter has a Kershaw Chive, that's quite nice. I'm just not keen on the recurve blade.

'Got an Emerson CQC-7 mini coming from Santa :), I'll let you know how that works...

I can't believe that nobody mentioned the Spyderco Kiwi ! A superb, elegant, very compact and non-threatening slicer. Women even think about it as "cute". And if you splash out, the nice people at Santa Fe Stoneworks will make you a custom Kiwi with dinosaur bone handle.

Next to this one, the Fallkniven U2. Another compact gem with an incredible blade material. It looks very classic, no-nonsense:

At a higher price level, maybe the elegant lines and swiss precision of Klotzli can seduce you:

Finally, if you can be persuaded to try Carbon blades, a very sharp (and staying sharp) genlemen knife is offered by Kyocera. I love mine. The blade is 2". Variants exist with even smaller blades. Splendid if correctly used (only slicing, no prying):

I have 2 small fixed blades (1" and 1.5" blades) that I made from some scrap 01 steel. They hang on some magnets in my cubicle. There are a number of people who borrow them to open boxes etc.

I think that knives that look kind of plain and have a little bit of a "cute" factor are easier for the sheeple to deal with. Even if they look plain and cute, they can be kept sharp. One lady, not a knife person, keeps a small 3" Chicago Cutlery (abused, dried out walnut handle ) on her desk. No one sees to care.

May be a slippie of a small Opienel(sp?) would be good.

Oh yeah, I forgot:D about the "letter opener" I made. Well it looks like a letter opener, but one edge is very sharp. It also hangs in my cube....

I would also suggest the Spyderco Dragonfly, Ladybug, and Spin, along with the Fallkniven U2.

Now if you want to go the custom route, I have some good suggestions there too.

SAK!!!! Blade + other gadgets + very sheeple friendly.

Spyderco Jester?

Spyderco Lava!
Get it while you can(discontinued for 2009:().
Great knife, which handles and cuts like a bigger knife. Solid construction, and sharpens really nicely. Superb ergonomics.
