Look in the Maker's Market in the exchange. It will blow your mind what you can get for under $100, in a range of steels and configurations. Makers like Eliot, Alan Davis, TRC Knives and too many others to mention make outstanding quality pieces for reasonable prices.

thanks for the quick replies guys :) ive seen the izula before but never really gave it a good look but will look at it again. what do you guys use for a sheath set up on that blade? ALSO ill have to take a look at that market bigfatts because i love one off stuff and specially hand made one off stuff.

I use the sheath and belt clip it comes with. It's a decent rig and was easy to flip over for left hand carry.

The Becker BK-24 has the same handle as the Izula, with a slightly larger blade, and it's D2 rather than 1095.

I'll second the vote for a custom. I got these three (JK Knives custom, Koster shortness, Koyote bird & trout) from makers on here.

I like the Benchmade rescue/dive knife. I have the black blade, but the come three colors. Corrosion resistant too!

if you want a bit more length than the Izula you could check out the esee 3. I sometimes pocket mine when working on the yard or house. can't pocket in public here in Cali though so it doesn't see a ton of Edc.

it's also a bit thinner, which I prefer.

+1 on the BK24.

It'll accept paracord, Ka-Bar BK14, aftermarket BK14/BK24 or, with a tiny bit of work, ESEE Izula scales. Or none at all.
