Hi.

Maybe I am alone (?) but I could not see the pictures.

If I am missing something, if someone else here could explain how I could see these pictures, I would appreciate it. TIA!

It appears as though the images are not on a public (accessible) domain in looking at the OP's post?

...no Virginian: you couldn't see the pics because I'm a primitive man don't knowing how to attach them .... ?!?!

Vecio - you can not attach photos with a "Registered User" account unless you FIRST put them on a hosting site such as "photobucket". Then you can use the format which you tried, using the "IMG" command to the hosting website.

Peterinct, thanks a lot;

I'm perhaps very stupid ( you know , the name vecio in our swiss-italian dialect , is meaning : old man !! but after putted the pics on www.photobucket.com hosting ... i always can't bring them to the Forum ....

In photobucket, just copy the very bottom link when you hover over an image, and paste it in your thread. That should get it to show up.

If you want to e-mail them to me, I will post them here for you. Just click on my name at the top of this post and hit the Send E-Mail link. You won't be able to attach them or send them directly that way, but you will be able to send me an e-mail. When I reply to your e-mail, you will then have my e-mail address and you can send a SECOND e-mail message to me through your regular e-mail account, and you can attach the pictures to that e-mail. A bit convoluted, but it will work.

Worth the wait! Wonderful detail on this work of art.
Thank you, Vecio, for posting these pics.

BEAUTIFUL knife Vecio!! Who did the engraving on it? I like it VERY much.

Thanks for posting it.

As mentioned, once you have a account on photobucket, just copy the "IMG" code for the picture you want to post. Then, you can use "CTRL V" to paste it where you want it in your thread.

Hi Rino,

Thanks for posting this exemplary gem of a folder. Literally a 'gem'.

Sr. Puddu's work tops my list of ornate and well-made folders. I have photographed and handled MANY of them. That Aldo Rizzini and Reinhard Tschager are also involved, well it is the cream of the Italian crop. (An American phrase for The Best!)

Thank you.

Jim

Thank you all guys ! Salvatore's work is really stunning , it's true and also because there is a lot of handwork.

The small Persian all gold was a project born Nov 2005 !! I bought the gold when it was around 600 $/oz- today it would be impossible for me to pay the actually rate. Also, Salvatore, has used his free time to work that for, it is a kind of present for our friendship.
Technically it was a great challange seeing that there are very small tolerance and it is always very difficult to keep the proportion in a small knife like this; the locking bar, as exemple, is very thin and all long inlayed with gold to allow the diamond setting work, but he made it three time before found the right soluction ...

By the way here down I poste two pics ( one by F.Pachì) from a 9 " OAL folding dagger, a tribute to J.Schmidt , Salvatore brought at the Milan knife show this year.... another great work with very intricate filework. The engraving work is by Peli.

Ciao and sorry for my poor english..
