I've been wanting to make a tomahawk for a long time so here's my first one. Thanks to John Cohea for his selfless advise and a tutorial on this type of hawk, I finally have one of my own:D W1 head forged from a 1/2" round, cutting edge is 1 1/4", head from edge to spike is 4 3/4" and haft length is 8 7/8". Copper studs and band in the handle. Rawhide wrapped, everything antiqued. John, thanks so much for the insipiration and your tutorial!

that is a real neat little piece, I can totally see the Cohea influence.
I like to see a knife maker who is able to focus on a particular style, but who is also willing to branch out:thumbup:
Good work, Serge.
