I'd some oak slabs I rescued from my firewood pile 3 years ago and this small blade laying around that I couldn't quite figure out what to do with; so I did this.
The 154CM blade is from 3/32 inch stock and is 3 3/4 inches from the tip to the butt. The OAL is 8 inches. Trim is obviously copper. Haven't gotten to a sheath yet. Nice, classic looking little hunter.

Very Nice Joel.

I am surprised we don't see more oak used as handles.

I trust you are doing well...why are you making knives this time of year and not out canoeing?

Regards,

-Todd

Joel,

That is a really crisp looking piece. All of your profile, grind, and finish lines are sharp and beautifully executed. The grain direction on the oak is right in line with the profile. The copper is polished to a lovely pink hue. Your use of black and pink spacers pulls the oak and copper together nicely. I visited you site and realized that this piece is not alone in its fabrication, as all of your work echos a professionally crafted theme....Great to see another fellow Pennsylvanian on these forums.....

I love copper, it's the new black- goes with everything! Great lines on that knife, really good work.

Doing good, Todd; hope you're doing the same. I sort of alternate between making knives, growing organic produce for farmer's market and canoeing...today was a canoeing day:)

Nice words, thank you Bobby. There's a number of good PA makers out there, so I"m in good company.
