Halloo,

I just about finished up this little knife, in the same family as the others posted recently. It's an 80% scale model of my full-size drawing done in 1/8" O1. It's just a hair larger than the earlier 1095 75% model, and is now the perfect EDC for me.

While visiting family in VA, a friend was showing off their upstairs flooring which was salvaged from a gym - my eyes popped out of my head. Sure enough there was some scrap left over! The grain runs a different direction than the scales I cut myself out of a thicker block, so the pretty light-changing bands are on the spine and belly of the handle instead of the flats. The handle is a bit square, but it feels good, so it's staying as-is for the moment.

I'm happy with the grind thickness on this one - the previous was quite thick at the edge before sharpening.

The sheath is a clamshell, trying something new to use up the odd-shaped kydex leftovers. It seems to be working ok, tho I dinged up the retention spot at the mouth.

Looks cool! I've found that "re-purposed" materials are a big selling point with lots of folks.

Thanks. Yep, it's maple. I love the curly stuff!
