Small Inkosi pivot rotating

I just received my Inkosi today, and I'm worried it's defective. This is my second CRK, first being the small Sebenza. I was prepared for it to have a tight action until I played with it for a while, but I noticed it's quite a bit stiffer, really hard to open one handed. I also noticed that while it is opening and closing it is spinning the pivot. So rather than rotating around the pivot it is moving the whole thing. I tried tightening the pivot, but when it was tight enough to not spin the pivot it was too tight to use the knife. I took it apart, cleaned and lubed it, but it did not help. Should I reach out to CRK? Return it to the seller?

Thanks in advance!

The pivot on the Inkosi is designed to be free spinning, so your knife is definitely not defective. Perhaps the pivot has too much lubricant or the wrong type of lubricant. I'd suggest breaking it down, cleaning it thoroughly, and reassembling it with a small amount of the fluorinated grease that came with the knife. CRK provides an excellent video to take you through the steps:

If the entire pivot is rotating with the blade I'd say the blade-to-pivot fit is extremely tight. It should break in before too long.

Mine does it too. When it cross over the groves in the blade for grease.

I just don’t care. Doesn’t affect anything.

I’d polish the washers and tune the knife and let it break in if it bugs you too much.

I have a couple of Inkosis. I will have to see if the pivot rotates.

Clean and lubricate. Factory lubricant was bone dry on both my CRKs and they were both made less than 3 months. Pivot on my Inkosi has never rotated and it shouldn't on any knife.
