I received a small Inkosi from knivesshipfree yesterday, and I like it. The color of the inlays shown on various web pages varied a lot, so I was curious to see how they really look. I'd say they are similar to the Nyala "brown canvas micarta" but with more white veins. The photos may help explain.

In addition to the cool new Inkosi it comes in the [new to me] CRK boxes & packaging style. I have to say this is the best knife packaging ever, especially if you are a collector or reseller. No more torn or bent box flaps or trying to get everything squished back into the box. Check out the photos.

Next up is the large version of this little guy.

That is beautiful. I really like the grain in the brown Micarta. To me, it looks a bit like leather with woodgrain lines.

I would love a Large version, for sure.

Love it. Can't wait to see how it darkens with use. Also interested to see that in both black and natural micarta inlays, CRk has changed the direction they cut the inlays with respect to the "grain" (or more accurately, layers of linen). Cutting with the grain like they are doing now, gives a much different look, especially in the black, which now are darker, with a lighter outline, as opposed to the "fuzzy" side facing out.

I like this colour better than the blonde promo shots. CRK should really update those photos as they look nothing like this. This will be the same Micarta as the Nyala, I'm pretty sure, but they buff or wax the nyala handles, so they end up more shiney (at least that's what it looks like in photos).

Anyways.......please post pics as this knife gets its patina. I think CRK has struck the perfect balance between practical, and beautiful, with these natural Micarta inlays.

... And I wanted to see the large version too, but you helped push me over the decision point and now that one is en route to my home for delivery Wednesday. Will post pics at that time.
