it's love at first sight. Right off the bat, I love the blade geometry. It has more slicing length than I expected. Fit and finish are as expected, which is to say perfect. The handles are slightly more comfortable and the grooves on the top of the blade are slightly more grippy than my 2004 Small Classic (which remains my hard duty/back country/outdoor adventure knife). I like the blue lanyard bar if only for the little extra splash of color. Opening action is stiffer than expected, but I'm sure it will loosen up after a little use.

Overall, it exceeds my very high expectations for an EDC, largely due to the blade geometry.

Thanks to all of you who wrote about this knife as your comments pushed me over the purchase edge. I couldn't be happier. I also have to give a shout out to Knife Art, which mailed the knife very quickly ( I ordered when they were closed, they mailed it the next day). I have no doubt I'll go to them first for my next purchase.

The Insingo is one of my favorite blade shapes. I've got a Small plain and a Large Micarta.

Enjoy the knife!

First off congrats! I am hoping mine will be here tomorrow.
The action will losen. When I received my small 21 2-3 weeks ago I was a bit concerned. After disassebly and a bit of grease, plus playing with it quite a bit, it has loosened up nicely.

Still has a firm detent but not too firm.

Congrats! I have to say, as far as slicers go, my large insingo is hard to beat. The blade shape and hollow grind are just perfect!

congrats!!!! pictures!???????[/QUOTE

Thanks!

I'm honestly not sure how to post pictures here yet. I'll figure it out at some point, but this is the basic, plain Insingo Small, and there are pictures of it everywhere. I'll post some of the Insingo along side my trusty drop point small when I get the edge squared away.

Very easy SPL you just click on the picture icon and upload from your computer or paste the link of the picture from a free host like Flickr or other ;-)
Cheers

Love the small insingo! Here's some steps to post some pics. We love that around here.

Set up a free account at a photo hosting site...like Photobucket
Upload pictures from your mobile device or computer to photobucket
Open the picture in photobucket and 'copy' the IMG code.
Paste the IMG code into your post here on the forum and the picture will appear.

Crap. Tried to upload some photos and it Didn't work. I'll have to try again later.

Meanwhile, I took my Insingo apart this morning and re-lubed. Action is much better.

This helped my standad blade small 21 as well.
My Small insingo is being delivered any minute at my house. I am stuck at work until 9! I may have to go home at lunch and get it.
