Probably not, but it's interesting.
Last year I could not resist a Small Insingo to brother up with my Large Insingo and join my C R Family ( 2 Large Regular Sebs, Large and Small Seb 21's and Umnumzaan ).
Just last week however I noticed for the first time a strange situation. The Small Insingo was documented as born on May 25, 2010 on it's certificate. The right scale is dated A 10 inside rear which seems right. The lock scale however is dated B 09. All my other CRs are same dated both sides.
Well, an email to CRK got me a nice reply from Heather saying that knives made in the beginning of the year are sometimes put together with some left over last year parts. She stated this is a rare occurance but does happen.
Being as anal as I am about my stuff I was initially put off by this, and it certainly doesn't effect use. It's made just as beautifully as All C R knives are and according to CR is a rarity.
I suppose the only down side other than aesthetics would be that if you wanted to sell it it could be interpreted as being a repaired knife.
Anyway, any of you C R K nuts out there have one of these "RARE" Units and your comments and opinions please.
All in Fun now. I just love C R K knives......... Don't you?
