I just received a new small insingo sebenza from a reputable dealer and the clip has a small amount of wiggle - not a lot, but enough to notice it when opening the knife. I can actually hear it scrape against the handles when moving it. I tried tightening it, but it's already tightened all the way. I took the clip screw out but the clip didn't want to come off under normal pressure. It's a perfect example otherwise. I've had several other sebenzas (all used) and have never had the clip wiggle like this. Is this normal for a new sebenza? Will it stop with use? Is there anything I can do to help it?

First off it is not normal and will not get better, if anything it will get worse.

Here are my suggestions.

1. Call CRK and order a new clip. If the problem is caused by an out of spec clip this might fix it. If you explain the situation to CRK they might even send it for free.

2. If you order the clip and it doesn't fix it then the knife scale is out of spec and you should send it to crk for warranty work.

3. DIY solution, put a little blue loctite under the clip to fill the tiny extra space that is letting it wiggle.

Do you mean space between the handle and the clip itself? Just bend it slightly so it sits flush, it's happened to pretty much every clip I've ever actually used.

No, not space between the clip and the scales. It can move back and forth toward the front of the scales and back. I contacted CRK and the Seller to see what they suggest.

There may be a little trash between the clip and frame. Or, a burr od the edge of the clip that’s preventing it from seating off. You can take the clip off to inspect for debris or a burr.
I’ve had a couple that were really tight and had to use a skinny flathead to pry it off. On mine, after I lightly sanded the edge of the clip, it seated off and fit a whole lot better. I’m thinking the pocket clips are stamped out and not water cut.

I had this happen to me once before on a large Classic but never ending up getting it fixed so not sure on what the fix would be. Interested to hear what CRK responds.

Either the cutout or the clip is slightly out of spec allowing the movement is my guess. Of the two I would also guess it is the clip since I the cutout has tighter tolerances and precision than the outside edge of the clip.
