i picked this up in the same place i got the spiller, just now cleaning it up. from what i can tell, its forged and that seems to be the touchmark (which may or may bot be upside down). it also had those numbers under the poll.
lastly, it has forged phantom bevels. not as extreme as the kellys and such, but they're noticable. im gonna turn it into a house axe. i'll post it when i get it done.

any info would be appreciated

That's a great find and is going to clean up and look great.
Can't wait to see after you hang it. Thinking 28" -32" handle?

i hope i can do it justice, maybe eventually i'll grab a 28" but i had some 24" oak laying around sooo

Has, does oak do well for your axe handles? Is it Red Oak? White Oak? Oak I can grab easier than hickory or ash in my neighborhood.
It will look great.
I can picture it beside the fireplace...

never made anything larger than a 28" but it does well i'v found. maybe leave the handle a bit chunky. it's red oak by the way
