Since the wife took our daughter out for the day, I had some time on my hands to play with my toys. So I decided to run a small knife comparison. This includes a selection of blades from HI, KH, a vintage Khuk, JAB, and a Brusletto puukko.
On the first test, each blade did quite well. There were some differences in performance, most edges were straight from the factory. However, the JAB and the Brusletto clearly surpassed the others.
On the second test, each blade did significantly well with pattern and coverage. But clearly the JAB was the forerunner. The Brusletto, however, appeared to be too much of a brute and broke the cracker.
