I just recently bought a Blade-Tech Mouse Lite, a Tim Wegner design, and this little thing is pretty amazing. It has frn handles, 440c steel and came just razor sharp. It cuts like a laser and I stropped it and it just gets sharper.

I am not to to fond of its small size just yet, I have larger hands, but I don't wanna carry around something like an endura or the mouse or mouse 2. I carry a leatherman wave around with me everyday anyways. It has a good fit and finish. overall I think I like it. It might actually take over the edc spot. (use to be a queen gunstock) we'll see how the next week or so goes. :D i like it so far.

anybody have any experience with blade tech or the mouse lite?

Yep, nice tough little knives.

I've got one in Green, given out a few as gifts, too. Everyone's who's gotten it as a gift loves it.

In fact, I'll post to The Good, The Bad, The Ugly! about a place where they can be got cheap.

Anyway, mine's taken a good pounding and keeps on slicing. If it's not in my pocket, it's nearby for backup.

Hey risen,
I've been considering one of these for a while but your post in GB & U was edited by Esav for deal spotting so can you PM where you got yours?
Thanks bud.

Sorry about that. Thought it was alright in GB & U. I was wrong.

PM me the info if you don't mind. I can't remember what the going rate is on these so wouldn't mind finding one on sale.

Thanks!

Also, what is the newer/better version of these? I see them listed with either AUS8 or 440C steel and am not sure which is considered the better one.

The newest version is the AUS8 steel version. Prior to that they had a 440C version and they made them in Seki City Japan. I first saw the Mouse when it was made by Spyderco. The Mouse 2 was available with S30V steel and carbon fiber scales as well. All of those are out of production except for the AUS8 version. They are all the same size and blade profile. I think the various versions have been made in the U.S., Japan, and now Taiwan. All are nice little EDC folders. Seems like the Spyderco version had titanium scales........but it's been so long I cannot remember.

Figuring out messaging. I think I emailed you. Please let me know if I didn't get through.

Thanks for that quick history on this knife!

Thanks bud, I got your message and am checking out the listing now. I'll probably grab a couple to get a break on the shipping.
