Small Machete

I just finished this one up recently for a co-worker. He said that he wanted something to carry out in the woods.
It has a 14 inch 1075 carbon steel blade, black walnut handles with stainless steel pins. Let me know what you think.
 
Looks good! Reminds me more of a competition cutter than a machete.

That little wooden nubbin sticking out just in front of the fire forefinger is probably gonna chip off though.

Thanks! I agree with the notch being a potential weak point. I thought the little notch looked cool when I started, but I would have designed the handle differently if I had it to do over again.
 
That looks like a working knife - good job. My only concern is that little bit of wood sticking up at the choil, looks like it work break easy, even with metal tang between scales. All in all - good job.

Thank you!!! Yeah, I wish now that I designed the handle differently. If I had it to do over again, I would have sloped the front of the handle instead of leaving that little notch there.
