I had a bit of spare time on the weekend and decided to do a little work on my user olive drab Active Duty:

I used a file to remove the machined grip pattern from the G10 and cleaned it up with a wet sanding, then used the cut-off disc on the dremel for the thumb grooves.

What do you all think ?

I think you did a fantastic job on the slabs; I don't like the thumb grooves too much myself. But you did a very good job on them too! Did you think about enlarging the choil?

I think it looks great.
Most important is that you like it.
I bet the thumb groves will come in handy.
Nice job!

Very nice, how did you get the thumb ramp grooves so precise. Did you hand hold the Dremel? Looks good, I might be enticed to do mine.

if I had my way I'd get rid of the choil all together :)

just a steady hand I guess.. marked them out first using a ruler to try to get the spacing even. I used the thin cut-off disc first, then a slightly thicker one to enlarge them a bit more.

Think Twice ,,,,,,,,,Cut Once ........ Looks good ,,,,, and as someone else said........iffin you like it , it's perfect! Cuz your's is the only opinion that matters concerning YOUR blades ,.. eh ....... nice work

Pretty daring move, Mckrob, but it came out well. I say, "whatever makes the tool more efficient for the user is okay with me." That's why all my Glocks go to Ben at Boresight Solutions before they end up on my waist.

Well executed work there mate and the thumb grooves mark it out as nice original.

wow, that looks great. I can't believe it came out so good with a dremel, i won't posdt pics of my first attempt at that (thankfully not on a Busse, LOL.)

That's a great mod.. I think it would be particularly helpful for the cuts towards the thumb with the index finger knuckle on the grooves. I like it!

That's a very nice job! The few times I've attempted thumb grooves it always looks like a drunken chimp with a chainsaw got ahold of it!
