I got this during one of my trips to Iraq from a contractor who was handing them out. There are no country of origin markings or brand name. It is the same size as a Leatherman Micra. It has pliers with a wire cutting surface, bottle opener with small screwdriver blade, a flat phillips blade, clip point knife blade, can opener, file and a medium screwdriver blade.

I have had it in my tackle box for a couple of years and recently decided to use it as EDC. The knife takes a pretty sharp edge that lasts rather well. The construction looks very similar to the Leatherman Micra except for the pliers. Overall not a bad tool for what is probably a knockoff and free.

Will get a photo up as soon as I get my Photo Bucket account reset

The only markings are "HESCO, Bastion Ltd, concertainer" and Tel (44)01132486633 Fax(44)01132483501.

Has anyone got any information on this?

Thanks

I know little about them but do know they make a few Leatherman knockoffs. The reviews I have come across on MTO all seem to agree they are useable tools but lack the refinement of the original Leatherman.

I thought that it was advertising for Hesco Bastion Ltd, did not realize that they were putting them out as their product. Not bad for a knockoff considering there are flea market specials that are not put together anywhere near as well that look the same. Only bad thing is the screws tend to loosen up and the blades may not stay in.

Loc-tite the screws.. John

I originally had two of them and tried that but could not get in back together. Tolerances are off enough it is a tough job to get back together without a vise or a second person helping. At the time all I had was long nosed vise grip pliers.

Before I really got into knives and gear I carried one and it is plenty good for average task just not near the level of craftsmanship as a Leatherman

I have a couple of these Hesco tools. One is Super Tool sized and the other is Micra sized with pliers rather than scissors. Mine came out of the pallets of Hesco barriers that we set up in Iraq back in 2005. The larger tool even came in a nice leather sheath.
