Small or Large, which one makes a better EDC?

I have both a small and large Sebenza. They're new but I already love them, I'm amazed with the quality, they truly are fucntional works of art. I think though I'll be primarily EDCing the small, it really disappears in the pocket. Which size do you prefer for your EDC tasks and why?

Since I use mine for light cutting, the small Sebenza is perfect for me. I have both large and small and I would say I carry the small 90% of the time compared to the large. It is nice to have the large available when you want it though.

I only have a large inlay and could not be happier, though I wish I also had a small. I carry my large each and every day, whether in shorts or jeans on the weekend, or in the back pocket, next to my wallet, of my suit pants (or slacks) during the work week. I have NEVER felt like it is too big. To me, it's just right. Not that I don't want a small, also. Did I mention that already?

Have a Small w/ inlay that I carry 90% of the time when I'm wearing dress slacks. It's perfect for appealing to the high-brow folk and for not startling them everytime I open a letter.

You having both sizes makes you the resident expert on which one carries better for EDC, Sir!

:)

I've always preferred the small, but there's plenty of folks around here who find the small a little too small.

Professor.

I guess I should qualify my earlier statement. I have, on occasion, opened my large in the presence of others, resulting in statements like, "Wow, did you just pull that out?" and "You really are from Alabama!" I suppose the small sebbie would not garner the same reactions, but I would be far less entertained.

The samll cuts everything I need, but I find the handle a bit uncomfortable. My hand are large, but not huge.

As for CRK EDC, I have carried a small sebenza, large sebenza and mnandi. I used them all equally and never thought, boy I wish I had the small with me, or boy, this task is more suited for the large. I edc my large NCIS engraved sebenza and never felt overwhelmed with it. I picked up a strider smf and carried that last week, went back to my large sebenza this week and it seems small now......lol. I know when I use my large, I always make a point of showing the engraving, that seems to disfuse anything thinking of it being a large knife. They are more like WOW, you have NCIS engraved on your knife......cool.........Now, if this discussion was regular or 21, it would be large or small regular every day of the week, just cant get into the 21, either large or small, but thats a different story. I EDC a Large Regular to answer the original question ! Fits my large hand rather well, never felt like its too big.

Well I have 6 large & 1 small, I carry both plus a Unandi in my shirt pocket.
But not having to go to a job everyday I can get away with that.
Once you get one you have to get the other.
If I could only have one it would have to be a LARGE.

I EDC a Large Regular. The large never felt like it is too big. The small-whch I have tried feels too small. It is an excellent cutter-just does not fit my hand.

I have one small and 5 large. I really only edc the small on rare occasions. The large fits my hand better, and I think the length of the blade is perfect for edc. I don't work in an office environment, so your mileage my vary:D

For me, the Small Sebenza is the better around town EDC knife due to its smaller size.

I find the extra blade length of the large to be very useful. Both are great, but that extra 0.5" makes a difference for everyday tasks (e.g., cutting up an orange or apple).

I have EDC'd both and the large is my choice. Feels better in the hand, total confidence when I pull it out. I have the luxury of wearing jeans or shorts, as well as EDC a .45 Wilson, rather have enough than too little. I gave my Mnbandi to a friend who it fit better. Way to small for me, but he loves it... I think the right size depends on the person.Bart1

I have carried the small mostly because I just like the size.

That being said, when you clip it on your pocket, it really doesn't matter because it is completely supported by the pocket.

The other way I have been carrying my large is in the KSF Premier Leather Pouch.

I carry my large classic most of the time but also do take my small classic to work on and off. I agree with comments above.... the large never feels to big and the small to little. Both just seem to work for any task.

.
so survey says you'll be happy either way (but probably not satisfied until you have both! ;) )

personally, i think the "large" is hard to beat and that the extra knife you get for the extra fifty bucks is a superb value.

for me there was never a question that the large was what i wanted. and to date, i'm completely satisfied with the way it carries and cuts. :)

good luck
