Really depends on what you're looking for in a knife. Persian is smaller and more refined and would make the better "gent's knife". Manix 2 is more suitable for hard use.

Dead horses beaten, sacred cows tipped, chimeras hunted when time permits. Spyderco Collector # 043 - - WTC # 1458 - 1504 - 1508 - Never Forget, Never Forgive! It's easy to grin when your ship comes in and good fortune and fame are your lot, but the man worthwhile is the man who can smile with his shorts twsited up in a knot. - Morey Amsterdam
I don't "need" the knife really...but I'm sure you all knew that
I'm just looking to try something a little different from the Millie and D4. Neither is really "public-friendly", so I may need something more "gentlemanly". Like a LBK, or a fancy one like the Persian. (If they all came with that engraving on the bolsters, this thread wouldn't be here"
Then again, the Manix 2 is one heck of a deal, and tough too.
Well, if you're in the market for something "gentlemanly" you might also consider the CF versions of the Kopa and Kiwi. Both are rather attractive and at least one dealer has them both right now at ridiculously low prices.
FWIW, the engraving on that small Persian was done by a gentleman named Bob Hawley, of Windy Ridge Designs.
