As most of you know I have this affection for all things from CRK. Yesterday while in Boise I stopped by CRK to visit with the always gracious Chris and Anne Reeve. I actually had an ulterior motive in that I wanted to have them polish out the blade on my recently acquired # 8 of 50 PP Umfaan. While the shop was polishing and replacing the thumbstuds, Chris happened to mention some early CRK Skinners and a Bird and Trout that he had sold a friend in 1984. The friend no longer had a "need" for the blades and Chris ended up facilitating the sale. At any rate I wanted to share a small piece of CRK history
During that time there were no exact records but Chris thought he "might" have done 12 to 15 of the skinners shown. The best part was the original documentation that went with the knives
